As of January 1, 2017, the Law Help Desk has been notified by University IT that Safe Connect accounts are subject to a quarterly refresh.
What does this mean to you as a law student? It means that you will get prompted at the beginning of quarter to re-authenticate to SafeConnect portal via your web browser. If you are not prompted at the beginning of each semester, then assume your account is still valid.
To re-authenicate when prompted in your browser, enter your SCU Network ID (aka SCU GMAIL without the @scu.edu) and then your password. After a successful login into the Safe Connect portal, you will be granted access, redirected to use SCU network resources, and have outbound/inbound Internet services again. You should only have to do this once an academic quarter pending any other issues.
