Should you upgrade from Yosemite or El Capitan to Mojave or Catalina before your Fall 2019 Law School Finals?

Yes to Mojave and yes to Catalina, if that is your only option and have the time. If your hardware meets the minimum hardware specifications above, then make sure to back up your data via Apple Time Machine to an external drive and update to at least Mojave (10.14).

If you don’t want to upgrade to Mojave or Catalina or don’t have the minimum hardware specs, then you may have one other option, click here.  If your current Examplify version is 2.02 to 2.04, then simply delay the Examplify update by selecting  “SNOOZE for 48 hour option” if prompted to upgrade. After your Fall 2019 Final Exams, then you can prepare to upgrade to the minimum recommend Mac OS and update Examplify to the latest version, 2.1 or later.

Should you upgrade from Sierra or High Sierra to Catalina before Fall 2019 Law School finals?

No, not recommended. Examplify version 2.1 still supports Sierra and High Sierra so just upgrade to Examplify version 2.1 by running Examplify, if it is currently installed on your computer. When you are finished with your Fall 2019 finals (and have gotten your grades), then perform the upgrade when it is convenient for you. Always backup your data using Apple Time Machine; check to make sure your hardware specs are compatible with Catalina, and then perform the upgrade to Catalina.
