For faculty and staff that are using their SCU issued computers (laptop or borrowed office desktop), then you may get this notification pop-up if your copy of Office is used on your home network. Why? All SCU issued laptops/desktop computers are pre-installed with a SCU (site) licensed Office Suite and needs to contact the campus Microsoft license server at least once a month. If you are working for extended amount of time at home and away from SCU's campus network with you SCU issued laptop or desktop computer, then you need to re-establish a connection to the Microsoft license server.
