No matter if you are graduating in December 2022 or May 2023, please make sure you are aware of the upcoming State Bar exam and changes to your SCU network resource account status once you have officially graduated.

A message from Santa Clara University Information Technology

Congratulations to the Santa Clara University Class of 2022!  

In July, as part of your new alumni status, we will begin the process of transitioning your current SCU email address to the SCU Alumni Email Service.

Your new email address will be (that is, the domain name will be used instead of Your username will be the same for both email addresses. Through mid-January 2023, you will be able to use both your email address and your email address to send and receive mail. We suggest you begin transitioning things like your LinkedIn account and other online services accounts that use your current email address to this new domain as soon as your account is ready in July.

Starting in mid-January 2023, you will need to use your exclusively. At that time, any messages sent to your email address will not be delivered, and will be returned to the sender. 

Please note:

  • You will keep your Google Workspace services, including Email, Contacts, Calendar, and Drive. In the future, Google storage space may be limited, so take some time to remove old, unneeded documents and files.

  • All other services for students will be discontinued 30 days after graduation (including Camino, Duo, eduroam, LinkedIn Learning, Microsoft 365, Qualtrics, and Xfinity on Campus). School of Engineering students will no longer have access to the Engineering Computing Center.

  • Your Zoom license will expire. If you have any Zoom cloud recordings please save them to your desktop prior to July 31. You may sign up for a free personal Zoom account here. Unfortunately the free account is more limited, e.g., meetings have a limit of 40 minutes, but there are options to purchase a Zoom Pro account if desired. Your SCU Alumni email account includes Google Meet, another free option for video conferencing. You can learn more about Google Meet in the Google Learning Center.

  • You will continue to have access to the email you previously sent or received, in addition to your email, when you use the Gmail web service ( or when you use the Gmail smartphone app.

  • You will be able to use both your email address and your email address to send and receive mail through mid-January 2023.
